The Progress Marathon #2

Today as it is a Wednesday I didnt have college. So at home the aim was to get the neck and shoulders done. but by the end of today I have done the neck, shoulders, one arm & one hand.

Once again i saved the progress at different stages to talk about in this blog.

Here is the first save i done.

First Save [Side View]

First Save [3D Front View]

First Save [3D Back View]
Here the head and hair hasnt been changed in any way. Before I done this i wasnt sure on the possitioning on the shoulders and neck so I done a sketch, as i need to scan it in I will show that at the end of this post. There is detail formed for the muscles similar to human muscles, originally they were going to be identical but because of the size difference between humans and the creature I made the muscles larger and some mroe defined. All the primary muscles you would expect to find have been added and also some bones.

Second Save [Side View]

Second Save [3D Front View]

Second Save [3D Back View]
Here the difference is the amount of detail done to the model, here is more defintion here. There are more small muscles around the back and more definition made using the smooth and Dam_Standard tool.

Here the arm has been made. Once again the primary muscles you would expect are here, biceps and triceps are primarily visible on the upper half of the arm and on the lower arms muscles such as the Brachioradialis. You can also see the eblow, originally I was going to make the arm and hand connected but desided to make them seperate SubTool's.

Here is the model to its current date. Here left hand has also been completed. it might not be visible within the photo but as stated before in a previous post i mentioned how he would have 2 knuckes within his hand, i stuck to this and have created 2 knuckles. i have tried to signify each joint within the hand but not sure on how well this is visible, i believe from all the work done to the arm and hand I will spend time increasing the detail on them. i also want to create exposed bone on other parts of the body but currently unsure of where to so will soon be designing that and if nessessary adding to my current model.

Here is the picture sketch i drew before I created the model.

Here is the sketch done before, as you can see c hanges were made throughout the process of creating it, here the shoulders and further back and also there is more mucle definition in the neck which is also larger, while creating this it appeared better the way it was created so i desided to make it like that.

Within the next post I will post all the image refrence i used for this.
