Muscle Anatomy!

today at college i started my character anatomy. there are a few problems i encountered which will be explained later on but first i will show the final A3 scan of my creatures anatomy.
i will start from the head and work backwards towards the hind legs. Firstly the head, as i previously explained i used a human head for the creation of my skull so i also used similar muscle anatomy as well, what i done was place the muscles in the main focus points, as in muscles to operate the jaw etc. The neck is also the same as a humans, for the purpose of repetition i based almost if not every muscle from human anatomy, originally it was a gorilla and a struggle to find and also the similariies make a human the main choice. next i will speak about the torso, the torso will be very human like aswell with the exact same muscles building ther base of the body although they will be extended. Within the arm i also used a standard human arm anatomy although i did attmept to make the muscles more compact to make the creature thinner, the shoulder muscleshave also been increased in size as i previously said in a post before how the front arms will take most of the weight of the body, here is where i found a problem. originally all i was going to do was roate the muscles within the leg to fit the rotation of the leg meaning all the muscles and bones would be in the same place as a humans but reversed. i was then given an exmaple by drew about doing 'the crab' ands how awkard it is to move your muscles in that motion. Drew and Simon gave me the example of Giraffes and Cats but after closer look they just had extremely long heels, this isnt what i was going for, i continplated redesigning the legs but i felt like i was creating my way out of it if i hadnt hit a dead end 100% so i researched to see if there was any fictional creatures or deformities like this and at college it wouldnt open the link as it was blocked but when i got home i looked at the deformity of people who had inverted knees and seen how they walked, unfortunetly what they done was rotate there legs around and that wouldnt be practially, i thought mroe about it and compared the movement i want to my arms, with my eblow representing the inverted knee, i ahve to combined ways to allow this to work (or at least thats what i beleive) so the weight will be more forward focused so its the same as pushing yourself away using your feet and also i created a muscle which connects infront of the closing side of the knee joint which will contract pulling the leg upwards.I beleive this solves the issue of the poor movement in the creatures hind legs. also i have added a tail which will be completely muscle (as in no fat, there will be tissue and skin) Here is thee refrence i used for the muscle anatomy.
